In July 2010 Third Sector Leeds produced a statement on the impact of the financial situation on the third sector in the city. It sets out the spirit in which the sector wishes to approach the situation, and makes some proposals for consideration by public sector partners.
A new Compact for Leeds was launched in June 2010.The Compact is an agreement between the public and third sectors in Leeds about how we choose to work together. It articulates some of the shared values and principles we have when working together for the people of Leeds.

The 2004 research, uncovered significant evidence of the extent of deprivation resulting from the absence of access to financial services and highlighted the impact of this on people's lives. Since that time Leeds City Council and a significant number of voluntary and private sector partners have worked to implement many initiatives to attempt to deal with these problems. In doing so the council was always convinced that these initiatives, in addition to providing significant support for citizens, also had a potentially major impact on the city economy.

Revisiting the ecconomic contribution of the Third Sector in Leeds two years after the orginal study which explores the economic contribution of the voluntary, community and faith sector in Leeds throughout the 2005 - 2006 financial period. It takes an in-depth look into the sectors expenditure, staffing, volunteer count, types of income and also the added value the sector brings, which, although hard to measure in financial terms, has an immense impact on the well being of the city.
