As Urban Officer (since 1999) Kathryn has worked with churches in some of the most deprived areas of the city as well as undertaking representative roles for faith communities: LIRB 2002, Leeds Initiative Board 2003, and Harmonious Communities Partnership 2009. She has demonstrated her commitment to Third Sector Leeds, having been part of the VCFS strategy group since its inception, and vice chair since 2007.

Kathryn has been a Trustee of various organisations, including Active Faith Communities, WYCAS and the Diocesan Board of Finance. Until 2010 she was chair the West Leeds Debt Forum and Diaconal Association of the Church of England - and is the current Chair of Third Sector Leeds
