Eddie Mack

Eddie was born In Leeds and educated at Bradford University and owned a Pharmacy in Harrogate for 30 years before retiring.

Eddie played a key role in the development of the Leeds Voice Health Forum, now the Third Sector Health and Well Being Network, including serving as its chair for a number of years.

In the past Eddie has been involved in a number of health related boards, where he has always viewed opinions as a spokesperson for the under represented users of the various services. These have included: Chair Leeds Drug Project, Vice Chair Leeds Jewish Housing & Chair of Tenancy, Vice President of Leeds Jewish Welfare Board (LJWB), Chair of Social Care and of the Learning Disabled Project; Vice Chair Leeds Community Health Council, and Chair of the Acute Hospital Group.

On behalf of Leeds Voice Eddie was for many years the Lay Advisory Member of LCC Health and Wellbeing Scrutiny Board and Patient and Public Involvement Forum and he was the Participating Observer on LTHT Board of Management.

When Eddie retired from LJWB he was made Hon Vice President, and still haunts their corridors from time to time.

Eddie is married with two children and three grandchildren and enjoys: gardening, running, cycling, swimming, cooking, walking, theatre, art, concerts and unusual opera's.
