Young Lives Leeds has two Capacity Build Workers:
Harriet Wright- Young People's Groups
Kirsty McKay - Children's Groups
Harriet and Kirsty support organisations with planning, governance issues, finding and applying for funding, quality assurance, collaboration, monitoring and evaluation, and development of policies and procedures.
They also provide support to organisations to ensure that they are commissioning ready and in particular help organisations with the completion of self-assessments (for example working with youth work providers to help them achieve Quality Mark a self-assessment quality assurance tool for youth work providers) to ensure that good protocols, policies and procedures are in place.
Through 1:1 work with groups, planning and hosting joint events, initiatives and training we encourage opportunities to network, work collaboratively and share good practice. Young Lives Leeds work with organisations based anywhere within the Leeds Metropolitan boundary.
The capacity build team produce a monthly Young Lives Leeds Newsletter that goes out on the first Friday of each month and includes information about funding, training and policy updates applicable to Third Sector organisations.
