Voluntary Action Leeds (VAL) is the Council for Voluntary Service in Leeds. We provide innovative and direct support, services and specialist advice to hundreds of Third Sector organisations, helping them to carry out their work across Leeds.
Our History
- We provide direct support, services and specialist advice to hundreds of Third Sector organisations and small groups, enabling them to carry out their work.
- We run Volunteer Centre Leeds, matching individuals to volunteering opportunities and helping organisations find volunteers and manage their volunteers.
- We exist to encourage effectiveness, innovation and co-operation in the Third Sector in Leeds and work with other networks to ensure that the voices of the sector are heard.
- We seek to identify and respond to new and emerging community needs by assisting the creation and development of innovative projects.
- We are committed to prioritising services and targeting resources to communities and groups in greatest need.
- We are fully committed to Equal Opportunities and the elimination of all forms of discrimination.
Our services are available to any Third Sector organisation in Leeds, but you are encouraged to join VAL as a member.
VAL members get discounts on our services from training to payroll and you will receive our printed newsletter 'Voluntary Action Leads' that is published quarterly.
