Wade's Charity grants for small groups 2012 - now open
Grants of up to £200 for administrative costs only. Open to small groups operating within the pre-1974 Leeds City Boundaries with an income of less than £10,000.
Jimbo's Fund - next deadline 24 February
Formerly known as the Hesco Bastion Fund, this fund will continue to support groups benefiting people living in LS9, LS14 and LS15. Grants of between £250 and £20,000 available.
International Personal Finance Fund - next deadline 24 February
Grants for organisations that: have an element of enterprise or are helping groups become more sustainable; are helping disadvantaged people into work through skills development, training etc; are supporting people from Eastern Europe; or who are tackling social inclusion and education with financial literacy and money advice initiatives.
Community Sustainable Energy Programme - deadline 29 February
Not-for-profit organisations in England can apply for capital grants of up to 50% of the project cost to a maximum grant of £50,000. Applications will be accepted for heat generating technologies and energy efficiency measures only.
Sport Relief Community Cash Grants Fund - deadline 9 March
Grants of £500-£1,000 are available to small organisations with an annual income of under £100,000 that are working to help local people in challenging areas of Leeds.
Leeds Inspired Grants Scheme - deadline 20 March
Leeds Inspired grants are available to fund creative work in the city. For 2012 the theme is 'playfulness'. The funding can be used to deliver activity that takes place in 2012 or used to develop an idea where the main activity is taking place in 2013 or 2014. Empty Homes Community Grants - deadline 17 April
Not-for-profit voluntary and community groups can apply for funding to help buy an empty property in England through the Government's 2011-2015 Affordable Homes Programme.
Caird Bardon Community Programme - next deadline 21 May
Funds available for community projects located in the Leeds Metropolitan District. Approximately £600,000 is available each year. Two levels of grants are available: Main Grants - amounts between £5,000 and £60,000; Flagship Grants - each year, a maximum of two grants of up to £100,000 will be available for high profile projects that will benefit large areas of Leeds and its communities. There are 2 funding rounds each year and the closing date for the next round is 21 May. If you wish to discuss a potential application please call Liz Payne on 01282 603842.
