CapacITy Closure
Following an internal review of the CapacITy project, it is with regret that CapacITy closed on 30 June 2009, along with the redundancy of its two core team members. The review of CapacITy identified concerns over the lack of funding to cover the significant investment needed to sustain and move the project forward; however, you can be assured that VA-L's other services are not affected by this closure.
During its 10 years, CapacITy developed a credible reputation for delivering quality, low cost and customer focused IT support and training. We wish everyone who has been associated with CapacITy over the years our thanks for their support.
Looking ahead, VA-L is now working with Electroville (a voluntary, community and faith sector ICT support provider, based in Dewsbury) to ensure that IT support needs continue to be met. During this transition CapacITy clients have been visited to explain the current situation and to ensure that the transfer to Electroville is as seamless as possible. Electroville also plan to visit all clients in the next few months.
