- General Information

Voluntary Action-Leeds has built up a collection of documents, publications and journals which are relevant to voluntary and community groups. The priority area is Organisational Management which covers all aspects of setting up, establishing, managing and running a voluntary organisation.

Anyone is welcome to use the library and facilities are provided for study within the library area. Non-reference materials are available to lend to VA-L staff, members and trustees.

We also have a collection of publications covering Policy and Welfare issues that reflect topics of specific interest for voluntary and community sector organisations.

Voluntary Action-Leeds subscribes to a number of journals and newsletters; these cover issues relevant to voluntary and community sector organisations and information about the sector in Leeds. Our journal collection is displayed and stored in the Library. Most issues are kept for a maximum of two years.

Please note that most of our resources are aimed at the needs of voluntary and community groups and their members. Unfortunately beyond giving details of voluntary groups, the amount of help we can give to individuals is limited.
